President & CEO
Alan Arthur has served as president and CEO of Aeon since 1988. Aeon has 3,900 affordable apartment homes in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, including more than 500 supportive-housing apartments for homeless youth and persons with chemical dependency issues and disabilities. Aeon has several social impact investment efforts in process, and acquired 1,200 NOAH (Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing) units in the fall of 2017.  Using social impact investment funds and relationships, Aeon expects to add 1,200 to 1,500 additional NOAH and other apartment homes to its portfolio over the next 24 months.  Alan brings more than 40 years of experience in housing and real estate development, including construction, project development, lending, code enforcement and city planning. He earned a B.A. in political science from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Alan trains organizations on affordable housing development, financing and organizational governance.  He serves on several local and national housing boards, including the Housing Partnership Network’s board of directors and NeighborWorks America’s Real Estate Advisory Committee. Every fall Alan participates as a catcher in the Roy Hobbs Baseball World Series.
